I use the elliptical for 1 hour during Lunch. I go at a pretty moderate pace and go about 4 miles in the hour.
Then after work I head back to the gym do 5 min worm up on the elliptical. I then lift weights. Upper Body on Day 1. Lower On day 2. Mid section on day 3. I then get on the elliptical run for 30min on the weight loss preset program
I am 25 male(will be 26 in a few weeks). I weight 220lbs looking to reach 180lbs.
I take Sundays off. I am not fatigued. I am I over doing it?
Answer:Sounds good to me...just keep listening to your body.
I'd say you not pushing yourself hard enough, but you weight 220 pounds. I ain't tellin you what to do.
I am not sure if you are over doing it because you have a bit of weight to loose. I think you should try to diet better. Really watch what you eat and I am sure that it will pay off.
No I don't think so. Although I've heard that if you exercise every single day you won't loose as much because your body will get used to it. But you are taking Sundays off. Maybe you should stay off exercise an additional day during the week. Good Luck!
doesnt sound like your over doing it take your time go at your own pace and gl it takes time
It would be useful to check your heart rate to determine how strenuously you are exercising. You would want to get up to around 70% of your maximum. The rule of thumb is your maximum heart rate is 220-your age. For you that would be 194.
70% of that is around 135.
You should also be dieting since exercise alone is a tough way to lose weight
Listen to your body, if you can do more...do it! If you are tired, rest.... But is your diet consistent with your exercise routine... You can do 1000 hours on the elliptical, and if you down a dozen donuts each night, you can forget 180lbs!
