My friend has neck pain. When she bends down her neck, she can hear the crack sound
She's been to a chiropractor who advised her a have a CT scan which she's going to have.
Any idea what's wrong with her neck.
What does the crack sound mean.
Answer:when you open a can of soda (or soda "pop"), it makes a certain pop noise.
The same thing happens when the bone adjusts. Gasses which have built up exit the joint capsule and result in that noise.
However, if her DC told her to have a CT, it's probably an abnormal "cracking" noise, which could indicate a tear or break of ligament/bone. I would advise her to follow through with this!

i go to a great body by god chiro. some people have subluxations or pinched nerves between the vertebrae which cause pain and an interuption in bodily function. the cracking is a release of 'gas' when the vertebrae move, thought to be totally harmless like cracking knuckles....a good chiro will mean the world, they are the best doctors/healers. did she suffer any car accidents anything that would have jolted her neck, my chiro says the tongs in the delivery room cause cerebal pulsy and subluxations, the weight of a penny on your vertebare can interupt brain & body function 90%. if you are healthy you dont get sick and stay sick, not likely to get cancer, when theres smoke you caugh and your eyes water , when you ear watermelons and hot rice you puke. And you have great balence ,and you have to trim your fingernails regularly...dont laugh... before i saw a chiro. i never trimmed my fingernails, i guess thats what motocross racing and 4 totally demolished car wrecks will do
