Not very easily. When crying you automatically breathe in a lot of air and that is a problem under water. You'd either drown or get up to the surface again very quickly

when someone cries there is usually a good deal of sniffling involved and elevated levels of breathing, blood pressure, and heart rate. with that noted if someone were to cry underwater they would not cry for very long.

I dont understand why people think that is so odd. Yes you can, the tears are coming from your eyes, not the surrounding water

yes, because if you held your nose under water and cried then you can't breathe in water.

no, because when people cry you have to breathe a bit and you cannot breathe under water

you can, because water can go into water. but when you cry raise your amount of breathing and if you were crying underwater you might choke.
