I have been dealing with constipation for a really long time (about a year and a half), and I've tried everything to make it go away (including lexatives), but nothing has worked. The stool itself isn't rock hard, but the main problem is that it takes a lot of straining for it to come out. In addition, I sometimes experience pain after ejaculation, and also I have noticed that some times after I urinate I have a feeling like I'm not completely empty, so I have to urinate again after a couple of hours. This has been going on for a long time as well. So I was wondering, if theres a link between these two. Keep in mind that I'm only 21 years old.

You are only 21!?! This is not good at all. Go to the Drs. immediately. Not to insult you, but these symptoms would be more normal in men in their late 50s to death, not people in their early 20s. I would get this checked out, I hope you don't have prostate cancer.

You need a stool softener, and lots of water to drink.

Daily at night, so you can have a movement in the morning.

I would highly recommend you go see a specialist,

A urologist . You are too young to have these problems!!!!
