would you say that nursing is a hard career

Some days are more challenging than others, there are some really bad days. But the good days are the majority and the great days, well they are truly memorable. You have to have brains, heart and tenacity to do this job but once you have that BS degree.nursing is one field where there is truly a niche for every personality and everyone who is willing to put their heart and mind to work.

Yes,nursing is a very hard career but it can also be one of the most rewarding. I know that sounds like a cliche but I speak from 19 years of experience. Few other careers can give you the sense of purpose and pride that nursing can. True, the hours are miserable and the pay could be better but those times patients grab your hand as you are about to leave the bedside and thank you with tears in their eyes for small acts of kindness can erase weeks of sore feet and aching back in an instant.
It deals with a lot of stress. Don't go in to it for the money, but if you are passionate about helping people, may be this field is for you. Also, you have to take a lot of crap of other medical staff!

Most of RN's that I know are not to bright!
