Flexing your elbow requires ur biceps brachii muscle. Biceps brachii is the chief flexor of the arm.
Bicpes brachii are attached the the superior glenoid process of in which the tendon helps in strenghtening the joint of the shoulder. It is a sturcture within the capsule of the joint but it is extrasynovial.
Thus, extension is the opposite of flexion. The action are complimentary to each other. If the flexion is intact, thus the extension of the shoulder joint are normal and vice versa.
because the joints in the elbow and wrists would move to allow more flexibility. By flexing your elbow, you lock those joints so that the entire range of movement is from the shoulder.
because it stretches it out to be more accurate
The muscles of your triceps is connected to your trapezius which is the muscle in your shoulder
