Cellular breakdown. The caps on the end of your DNA degrade after each cell division. Oh and your brain cells never replace themselves, so those die off eventually. And you become more prone to infection and disease which also kills you off.
it is basic law of creation. it is a cycle of nature ,change is a must
there was never an evolutionary reason to make us immortal
The world is a hostile place. Any creature is liable to die from disease, accident, predation, starvation and so on. Creatures therefore need to reproduce to make up for this.
If creatures only reproduced to compensate for any of these causes of death, there would be a problem. The lag between loosing a useful member of a group and having a replacement ready to go would be rather too long. The best strategy would be to reproduce continuously but set a maximum lifetime to prevent over population
If you've ever been in grea tpain from disease, you realize that death is not the worth.
