my wife is a psychzophrenic, and she no matter what she eats looses weight significantly.she can eat all day but never gain! i just would like to know why if you could answer that for me id be very greatful. thanks

Schizophrenia does not typically cause weight loss. In fact, many of the atypical medications for schizophrenia or mood disorders often have the side effect of causing significant weight gain. If your wifes weight has changed significantly in conjunction with a recent medication change, I would strongly recomend that the two of you speak with your prescriber.
