why do we hiccup. what causes it and what does it do to our bodies?

Answers:

its diaphragmatic irritation..there is not specific cause but have shown some realtion when u eat fast or eat much especialy fatty food, or drink , ur stomach fills up , n stomach is sittying close to diaphram anatomicaly , so it irritates that diaphram n causes hiccups.in some diseases where there is nerve involement frequesnt hiccups are observed..i had seen a patiend with complicated meningitis having hiccups.


Hiccup is an irritation of the diaphragm. Has no effects other than being annoying.
