Would you trust/use a psychologist after this

health advisory Hospital Doctor Yu 2007-11-8 19:09:49

I saw one for a year. We did extensive blood tests, neuropsychological testing, and historical childhood drug usage, etc. He said I was bipolar. I took depakote, then seroquel. When I left him, he said he didn't think I was bipolar. I believe that makes a psychologist bs.

Actually I need to see a psychiatrist for court. I am just going to play normal so I don't have to take any pills. Wouldn't you?

Answers:

I probably would, but they would notice that you are trying too hard and probably prescribe something even worse.

Just be yourself, hopefully you'll be prescribed with something less intense or maybe they'll consider you completely fit and normal, so you won't have to take any at all.

It depends on what charges you are facing. You are probably much better to receive treatment for a problem than spending time in jail if those are the alternatives.
I think you're confused. You should take your health condition seriously.
Psychiatrist is a medical man.We can report to medical council any abuse.
