By controlling medical research funds, you are in the position to guarantee that a cure will be found in 15 years for any disease you choose. Unfortunately, no progress on any others would be made during that period.
Answers:I would cure Cancer, because there is no cure for it. Yeah sure diseases such as AIDS isn't curable but it is preventable and treatable, but Cancer isn't preventable and unpredictable and even though there may be some treatments to help, it's not 100 percent curable. Does any of this make sense to you of what I mean.
I would target the most recent number one killer desease. since is the one more lives it's taking.
You may not consider it a true disease, but I would make an effort to stop SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome).
