My GP is in private practice with a nurse practitioner in her office.
My Cardiologist is part of a group, as is my Ortho guy, but I have yet to see any of their partners. I schedule with my doctor without any problem.
I guess my advice would be if you find a doctor that you really trust and like - grab them. The private vs. group practice thing really doesn't matter that much.
group medicine bc there would be more competence.
My Dr. use to have a small practice with two other Dr's. He went out on his own, and he is too busy now to find enough time for each patient.
