I have never heard that. Hmm. I wonder why there would even be a connection between eye drops and your bowels. I use eye drops-for dry eyes- and I have not noticed any side effects, and I believe they are pretty safe. Hang on, I have to go potty! :)

It's a restaurant "legend", if you will, to put Visine in people's drinks or food who are being jerks, or people that don't tip well.

Many have told me "true stories" where they have done this, and the people have gotten violently ill during their meal, or called to complain afterwards.

Anything is possible a lot depends on the chemicals in the drops. if they are just eye fresh drops then not likely

I am not aware of any research saying that the action of dropping liquid of any kind in to the eye with the head tilted back and you spine slightly arched will cause such a problem. tho I could be wrong. I only know almost everything :)

even if they're cholinergic, it won't go from your eyes into the system. cholinergic drugs would make you go.

I've used several different kinds of drops & have never had that experience. However, best to research or ask your doctor. Then again, what do doctor's know.not much. :)
