you know when you cry hard enough your face turns red and you can even see veins bulging out if youre crying that hard.. so maybe it's b/c of all the blood flowing into your head(red face) and b/c you are stressing so hard(veins bulging) that causes the headache.

in relation to the 'face turning red, etc' posted by the one above me, you have a tendency to have a headache when you cry because of the increase in intracranial pressure. the pressure increases when excessive blood flows to your head. it could also be caused by the straining you might be doing when you cry. because of crying so hard you tend to strain, thus more blood flows to your head and causes headache.

Crying usually generates various secretions, ie tears, snot. This causes your sinuses to inflame giving you a sinus headache.
