Height has no bearing on the blood pressure. Its a measure of the pressure with which the heart pumps the blood in our arteries. Your logic is right i.e in tall people the arteries are longer and hence may need a higher pressure to move the blood but its like pump which is continuously working so it doesn't make much difference with an increased height

120/80 is just an average number to give people a baseline to check against.Everyone has there own normal yours might be 130/90 where mine could be 100/60-doesn't mean we have a bad heart just everyone is different.
to much can hurt your organs and in particular give you a stroke your volume of blood for height changes but it has to be under similar pressure levels as other ppl because it has to get through your organs just like other ppl and not burst your capillaries
120/80 is average pressure for ( systolic&diastolic) systolic:when the heart pumps blood for whole body, diastolic : when heart recieves blood from body and pump it to the lungs.

blood pressure is affected by many factors like the altitude of the person, weight, smoker or not, but not the height of the person because the height of the person doesn't play significant factor in helping blood to pump or to play friction factor against blood stream in the body.

After a very long study on normal human blood pressure, the reading was tAKEN INTO ACCOUNT.
