Why is Asclepius a good name for a medical school yearbook
I already know the answer, just wondering if anyone else does..the trivia question of the day.
Answers:Asclepius was a Greek hero who later became the God of Healing and Medicine. He was the son of Apollo and Coronis.

It sounds very Greek; something Hippocrates would name a medical school yearbook.
He's the Greek God of healing and also refers to the snake/staff symbol that Doctors have used for centuries!

Temples were built to him at Epidaurus, Cos, Pergamum, and later Rome, where his worship spread after a plague in 293 Treatments, including massage and baths, were given to the sick. The serpent and the ** were sacred to Asclepius. People who claimed descent from him and those who followed his teachings were known as Asclepiads.
