Why do people want to do dentistry
No offence to those who do, but I just dont see the attraction. I can see why people want to do medicine or veterinary science, as you deal with the entire human anatomy, and get to heal all of our furry frineds,
but whjy just someones bad teeth?
Is it the money?
At first I assumed that people did it because iyou didnt need great a level reults, than was completely baffled to see that infact they have to be a sgood as medical applicants

Answers:I rather put your question in your point form. but more in the positive outlook
- Easier to study than a Medical Doctor
- Easier to understand
- Study time could be greatly reduce instead of doing 7 years studies + 5 years working
- Better earning per hour
- Less investment on equipment cost
- Everybody needs dentrist even you are poor or rich, beggar to businessman
- No risk ( i have not actually hear about killing people through plugging off the teeth ..)
- Medicine is quite standard in the market
Some people are just into that career. My friend wants to become a dentist actually. She's really into it. Her father is a dentist, and ever since she was small she wanted to be one too.
It is a bizarre fascination between torture and the need for precision. It only appeals to certain types who always have to be right. Their general arrogance and greed are just casualties of the art. Because they want to help people, have you ever had a wisdom tooth just about to kill you? I have and when the dentist pulled them sucka's out I LOVED HIM!
I had a dentist friend who chose dentistry as her career because : first she wants to be a doctor but doesn't like to undergo quite long and tough education, second, she wants to work on her own and doesn't like to work as an employee, third, dentists are getting high of their services so clients are always expected, fourth, just she wants as her choice.
I'm sure my hygienist Kay, enjoys inflicting mild pain on her clients. I expect as a child she was taunted by her brothers. And there its her way of getting her own back.
Imagine you are laid in the chair, and she says "Now Michael this is going to hurt a little bit". What are you supposed to do?
When she's finished with her mild form of torture, she gives the instruction to make another appointment, and like an idiot, I do.

I go for the money idea - work out the hourly rate on doing fillings and you will be impressed.
