Answer:
I would stick to natural remedies, tea with lemon, honey, herbal linden tea. You can make your own onion syrup.
Look up the recipes on the web and choose the one you like. The recipe is not very tasty, but it works and is safe for your baby. Hope you'll get better soon.
Don't chance it with answers from here. See your OB/GYN.
Not sure she should ask her Ob-GYN DR
Sudafed is safe. Really though, my phamacist said they don't know much about cold medicines during pregnancy because it's unethical to test on pregnant women. The only info they have, comes from women who have been pregnant...taken cold medicine...and reported that it did nothing negative. Ask your pharmacist when you buy cold medicine. 'C' class drugs are the safer ones to take. (The class type is from my OB AND pharmacist. I'm pregnant now as well.) I called the nurse line at our local hospital, and they told me to ask the pharmacist.
My doctor told me any kind that didn't have an ingredient to make you fall asleep was okay.
I'd ask your doctor, not the ByeDR.com board.
Call the ER and ask a nurse or the Dr. in the morning. Until then drink tea and honey and lots of vitamin c and maybe a pain relieverlike tylenol.
