What is tamezapam
It's a benzodiazepine, just like Valium or Ativan. And just like them, they can be extremely addictive and withdrawal from them can be dangerous. The reason is that they do very similar things on your nervous system as alcohol does. And NEVER EVER drink alcohol and use benzos together.
They can be used for sleep problems, but most doctors generally don't recommend using them for more than 1-2 weeks. Other meds, like Ambien or Trazodone, can be used more safely for sleep aid. Regardless of whether you're using it for sleep or anxiety, lifestyle changes, talk therapy and/or other types of medications are much more effective and safer over the long term than benzos.
The long and short of it: see your doctor, and don't use benzo's if you can avoid it.
