What effectively stops coughing

health advisory Hospital Alternative Medicine 2007-11-16 3:12:06

Every time I get a cold, it turns into bronchitis. After the antibiotic treatment, I then develop a non-productive cough that lasts for 3 months. This happens each Spring & Fall & is really annoying.

What alternative therapies are effective to stop coughing?

Thanx.

Answer:

Believe it or not, I had a chronic cough that lasted more than 10 years and I drove everyone around me nuts. I had been to many doctors that could not find out what the problem was. Finally I went to a doctor who claimed it was acid reflux (although I never had the symptoms). The doctor prescribed Prevacid once every morning 1 hour before I had anything to eat or drink. I did just as I was told and it took about 2 months and my cough went away. This lasted about 5 or 6 years then I quit taking the Prevacid and about 1 month later my cough came back. I started taking it again and following the exact directions and within 3 months I stopped coughing, that was about a year ago and I have not coughed since.

death
talk 2 ur dr. maybe he can help. stop smoking try deslym
Drink lots of cold fruit juices on warmer days or hot cider on cold days and try going into a steam room for 10 minutes a day. Steam rooms really clean out the lungs. The relative humidity is probably too low in your home or work. Running a humidifier will make a great difference and save money on heating. (steam mist)
vicks formula 44
you might have some sort of reflux disease. try jamba juice w/immunity boost and that airborne stuff every day. ur coughing has probably become a habit (yes, a habit) so maybe try hypnosis.
