do you exercise? are you overweight? high blood pressure? you need a good physical to find out what is really going on, that includes blood work.
Agree with AdonisMD soak your feet in lukewarm salty water.
Works for me every time.
keep your feet elevated when you are sitting or lying down. Is the swelling chronic? call your doctor about this problem, he may be able to prescribe medication to reduce swelling such as a diuretic. please don't avoid your doctor, realize that foot and leg swelling (pedal edema) can be a sign of an underlying condition, sometimes a very serious one (such as Congestive Heart Failure aslo known as CHF). I'm not saying this is what it is, I'm just telling you to be safe, this is something your PCP MUST know about!! Good luck!
