Yes, it helps people with all the afflictions above plus it cures anorexia. Yeah, some people could buy it with a prescription, but just use it to get high, but there are other legal drugs that can be abused this way, that are more dangerous than cannabis. You can assume that Drakos is apposed to legalizing it because she is one of the many people who earn a living selling it.
It is not only OK, but legal in my state and many more states. Get the card it is not hard to do when you have medical records to back you or your friend up!

Marijuana shouldn't be illegal to grow. The issue is about the government getting tax money. Your friend should find other ways to cure the problem. Inhaling smoke doesn't help the cure.
