Salary for massage therapist working for a doctor or chiropractor

health advisory Hospital Alternative Medicine 2007-11-16 3:13:01

Just wondering?

When I graduate I'm thinking about working for a doctor or such, and just want to know what the salary is like and such.

Thanks.

Answer:

My Chiropractors therapist charges 75 for one hour I would say she probabably pays my chiro. 20 of it and she charges 40 for half hour and only works 3 days a week and one of those is only a half a day. She stays busy.

This really depends on many factors. What is the typical cost of an hour massage in your area? What services to you is the chiropractor providing (is his staff making appointments for you? Washing your sheets included?). The best way to figure this out is to decide what he is providing for you and their benefits. A good friend of mine worked for a chiropractor and she received $35 per client (this was several years ago) which included his staff washing sheets, making appointments, all room rental included and also her massages were only 45 minutes instead of the usual hour. So..it all depends on what they are offering to include for you to determine a fair dollar amount.
in canada its about $40K or so
It depends upon the generosity of your employer. I would ask that specifically before you accept the job.
If you're in the illinois area, email me robert.rice1@gmail.com - I'm looking.

For me, I don't pay MT's. They pay me rent. And then they collect 100% of their earnings. I charge $35/day x 5 days/wk. So if you do 1 massage per day, you've paid your rent more than likely!

That is best for the MT and the Chiro.
