OK you're going to think I'm crazy, but don't knock it til you try it. Have him put a bar of soap under his fitted sheet on his bed around where his legs are. There is something about the soap that makes leg cramps go away. He can even have a bar of soap close to his favorite chair in the living room. It will relieve leg cramps once they've started too. I used it when I was pregnant and started getting leg cramps...never had another. My aunt and uncle were very skeptical, but started doing it....haven't had leg cramps since, and that was months and months ago. Seriously, just try it.

NO RETARD! Get the fricken surgery. Dee Dee Dee!
your Dad must have problems with the

legs or his Dr wouldnt suggest surgery

In the absence of more details, I cannot comment but will suggest a look at homeopathy before going under the surgeon's scalpel.
Calcium and Magnesium supplements can help with leg cramps. There is a powder version you mix with hot water and drink that you can buy at www.vitaminsthatwork.com.

Getting some Dianetics session to handle any emotional/spiritual trauma from the accident would be a good idea. Check out the website www.dianetics.org for more information on it.

What kind of accident? Did he have nerve damage? Did he have a concussion? Was a joint broken? You need to supply a lot more information for help.
