my dr says my throid medicine is working but my weight is going up not down.I don't want what he offers ....pills that are almost pure ephedrine.I want to loose some weight and still be able to sleep.

Thyroid problems run in my family. A diet pill is NOT the answer. I took them and gained back all the weight. the best thing to do is start taking your B vitamins Especially B-6. Start walking at least 3 days a week if possible. If you have a treadmill it is easier. The more exercise the more "active" your thyroid will be. Eat lots of Fruit and Veggies too. I know how hard it is to deal with this problem. Find a friend or relative who can be Positive re-enforcement for you. Good Luck!
