For a while my blood pressure has been about 150 and 140 is considered high. I can't afford to go to a doctor so I was wondering if anyone knows of any home remedies that could lower it? And please don't say oat meal.

Answer:

In addition to the above, there are many other oat products.

Try tomatoes (lycopene) and olive oil. They're tasty and will lower your bp.

low fat diet,

losing weight

exercise

decrease stress with yoga/meditation

You can afford a computer and an internet provider but want to risk your life with a medical condition and answers from people without medical degrees. As soon as I make sense of this, I'll get back to you.
if you can麓t go to the doctor麓s then go to your chemist they will check your blood pressure I don麓t think it cost麓s that much and they will tell you what麓s best for you . Don麓t have salt don麓t drink coffee can麓t tell you myself but ask at your local chemist . hope you get better soon
Cut out all salt/sodium. Most canned foods do contain sodium, so read labels carefully. Even soda contains some sodium, as does: mustard, ketchup, mayo, soy sauce (a lot), crackers, canned/jarred sauces, gravies, olives, lunch meats, etc.

Check the labels of everything you buy

Cut salt out of your diet. Exercise and RELAX. If you get worked up about things easily that will work up your blood pressure as well. If you are stressed, de-stress. Easier said than done but it will help. If you are still having problems with it, bite the bullet and go to the doctor. Paying the doctor is better than paying the hospital bill when it becomes so serious you end up there.
it all depends on your lifestyle. Oatmeal is a great source to help you cure your high blood pressure, but it's just many of the small steps. You need to start being comfortable with yourself, eat healthier, exercise, and be happy. By eating healthy, try going with meals with alot of fiber, less sugar and salts. Eat alot of greens and fruits. Most importantly drink alot of water, since 70 percent of your body is water. Stop eating red meat and foods with high cholesterol, and you will be fine.
i am a doctor ,and i can tell that in younge its better too be seen by some doctor ,however excercise with low fat low salt diet should do good.
go easy on salt & spices. salt is one of the main cause of high blood pressure(use less than 1500mgs per day). use pomegranate juice or paste or actual fruit.drink lots of water, cut away down on coffee & caffeine products. also, avoid heavy excercise. You鈥檒l need to eliminate bacon, hot dogs and processed meats, as well as frozen dinners, pizza, canned soups, etc. Buy low or reduced sodium foods instead. also Yoga will help . hope u get better soon.
A lot depends on what the bottom numbr is. 150 or 140 over what? Cut out all salt, sit or rest when you start feeling it's getting high. I think you cannot afford to not go to a doctor.
Go to the ER and they will see you and send you a bill . You need to go to the Dr
statistically it costs quite a bit less money to pay for a doctors visit and meds to control high blood pressure than paying for a heart attack later
