I have two cousins, one in med-school, and one at UCSD right now. both of them take in weed occasionaly orally (cookies, vaporization). they prolly do it once a month or every 2 months. they do it to relax from the stress. they never have possession of it, but mainly just have some with their friends. I know that they will never try anything harder than that like crack cuz there smarter than that. Shud i be worried that they might become addicted.

Answer:

It's interesting that they only take weed orally even though most people smoke it. The only reason I can imagine from that is the health concern from inhaling smoke... If it's true that they are actually only eating weed instead of smoking it because they're that concerned about their health, you don't need to worry at all. Clearly they're conscientious.

i think that since these cousins are adults, they are responsible for their choices. they sound very smart, but choose to escape reality. you seem just as smart, but are making better decisions. share your concerns with them, but accept the fact that you can't change them.

For now, I think not yet but someday they might be. You can never tell that they would not try harder than that because it is addicted and they might be out of control ..Just guide them and keep on watching them...

Yes, your concern is valid. Pot is addicting, and most addicts don't start out with the intention of becoming addicted.

They are using an unhealthy way to address the healthy need for relaxation. Certainly they could be a little more imaginative about it.

If stress levels are what sets the bar for acceptable methods of relaxation, then all of our Presidents would be daily pot-smokers!
