When you go to swallow the pill, drink it with a lot of water so the pill becomes less noticeable.

When swallowing it, make sure your throat is very open the entire time. When you say "aaaaaah" (like the doctors have you do sometimes) that's when your throat is opened. Try to keep it like that when swallowing the pill. Take a HUGE gulp, like you're trying to get down as much water as you possibly can.

If you can swallow a huge gulp of water, you can swallow a pill of any size. Put the pill as far back on the back of your throat as you can, then take a gigantic sip of water and swallow it in a big gulp. If you are scared, have someone there with you when you do it the first few times.

I have same problem, so I break them in half and drink lots of water when taking them. Tilting your head back also helps

Very good answers thus far. I too have that problem, but only if I try to take all my stuff at once (Cholesterol/HB/Aspirin, generics, etc.). Are you able to eat a moderate portion of food without having it be extra-small in size? Like could you swallow a tablespoon of jello (mashed potatoes, etc.) at once? If so, do what they do when they give oral meds to dogs and cats - hide it in your food and then gulp it down. Lots of water helps too.
