I want an alternative therapy treatment to help me kick the dreaded weed. All my friends smoke and I'm finding it very hard.

I know its hard, but have you considered trying the nicorette inhaler which is like a cigarette but its nicotine only without all the bad chemicals and tar. You can buy starter packs which can last up to a week, (depending on how much you smoke) and cost approximately 拢5 from chemists and good supermarkets. I have found this to be effective - and like you have decided to quit smoking. It has now been a week since I last had one and have found the inhaler to be effective for me.

A friend who has also stopped smoking told me recently that taking large doses of Vitamin C can also reduce the cravings.

Once you have decided to stop smoking, place the money that you would normally spend on cigarrettes into a jar - you will be amazed at how much extra money you will accummulate over a period of weeks! This will also act as an incentive to stay off them!

willpower is what you need. Patches are pretty good too. It would be easier if people around you didn't smoke.

If you are addicted it will be a problem to kick the habit. Everytime you have a urge to smoke you should try to drink a glass of water or chew a piece of gum. You also have to be strong around your friends and not give in to smoking when they are around.
