Essential Oils on face
i am interested in essential oils but often i see the directions on the bottle that says you have to use them in Bath, Massage or even for just smell ( in those lamps) how do i know which ones to use for face? i have sensitive skin and i was wondering which oils help with that?
Answer:Only a few essential oils can be used directly on the skin.
You would have to make a blend (a few drops of the EO in a carrier oil like grapeseed, or jojoba oil.
these 'essicential oils' are made up. all oils are fat. just use 'sentisive face' cream
The best thing to use is Tea Tree Oil. Mix it with any non-abrasive skin cleanser you have and wash your face at night before you go to bed then again in the morning. You can also use some Witch Hazel as a toner too. It works wonders.
You don't specify why you want to use an essential oil on your face. Is it for acne? wrinkles?
The oil I use on my face every night is organic rosehip oil. I order it from rosabay.com It is a dry oil and is very benefical to your skin for minimizing scarring, repairs sun damage, prevents premature aging, etc. You can do a web search on "benefits of rosehip oil" and read through the listed sites. I now have my mother using this oil and she loves it!

Just what is going on with the skin on your face that makes essential oils interesting? Acne? Rosacea? General sensitivity? Essential oils aren't going to reduce the sensitive nature of your skin, they can ease inflammation and redness, encourage healing and prevent break outs. Be more specific and I can suggest essential oils for specific concerns.
i am a massage therapist almost done with training and we do use essential oils for massage.....as for the face a light oil can be used. if you want something more natural try buying sesame oil...i use it on my face..it works great
Try olive oil. It 's good for the skin and softens it too. some Dr'.s recommend it to help eliminate scars after surgery, and accidents .
