You cant really kill an animal by farting on it, can you
This happened in that slap-stick comedy "Kung Pow, Enter the Fist". The old guy talks about his old friend from years ago and the old guy says "AND then he killed the dog" The flashback shows the guy's face where he looks like he's trying to take a crap and then the farting noise happens and the sound of the dog yelps and then falls over and dies.
But seriously, I watched an episode of "MythBusters" where they were really trying that sort of experiment in a different style. They put vital sensors on a dummy like it was a person and put it in an enclosed chamber with nothing but a horrible "flatus" smell (the smell from someone passing gas) The myth was busted since the vital signs and sensors on the dummy never changed.
So if you can't kill an a person or an animal by farting, then why is it talked about and joked about, especially in the movies?
Answer:Because people love urban legends and myths. Look at all the people that would be out of jobs and nothing to send via e-mails without all the legends and myths, lol. I enjoy going to snopes.com and reading all that stuff every once in awhile. It is funny to see all the things people fall for, like the average person swallows five spiders per year while sleeping, lol.
P.S. No, a dog will not die if merely farted upon!
