and my question is this.... can he just go to a dr. and start over with the insurance we do have to get this surgery? california.
Answer:Yes. It is best to start over with a second opinion.
They deny it and you accept it.
Keep pushing. They can't deny covering the surgery unless you let them.
I'm not sure being I'm from a different state, but my ex had two knee surgery's on work comp and he still has trouble with his knee..was supposed to have a MRI and possible 3rd surgery, however he was also denied. If you have a good attorney, they should be able to help you appeal and hopefully you will be able to have the denial reversed.
"Hands" for carpal tunnel, meaning right AND left??. . . just a little advice: in my clinical experience, anybody who has "carpal tunnel" in both hands has a neck problem until i can prove that they don't. If your husband is having symptoms in both hands, please don't go into surgery unless his neck has been ruled out.
