Answer:

Because it's your body saying "STOP, STOP, YOU'RE KILLING ME"...I suppose:-0

Stop taking ectasy or you won't be here to have your jaw lock up.

YOU will be locked 6 feet under!

The reason the jaw "locks up" is because of the effect 3-,4-methylenedioxymethampheta... has on the CNS.

Okay, when your heart rate/blood pressure is elevated (and the central nervous system greatly stimulated), you usually end up with alot of excess "energy". This is why other muscles will constrict, as well, while rolling.

The most common muscle that is used to "release" the build-up is the muscle in the jaw/mouth. This is also why you may grind your teeth when you're rolling nutssss (I know I do lol).

It's a very, verrrry common side effect. If your jaw is truly "locking up", though... (as in not moving whatsoever) ... you may consider taking less when you roll.

Another factor determining this is contingent upon what the base of the tabs you are taking are. For example, the most common adulterant in tabs is methamphetamine. Meth causes much higher heart rates and gives you alot more "pep" than other bases contained in certain tabs.

Remember, grinding of the teeth or clenching of the jaw is common and WILL happen most of the time when you take quality tabs. Like I said, if it is too extreme for your liking, try taking less.

Hope this helps, mate :)
