Why does my nose tingle
I had an opperation on the tip of my nose a few years back to remove a small lump of tissue. Over the past month or so i have been having strange tingly sensations at the site of the scar, it has only just started happening and i had the opperation about 4 or 5 years ago! what could it be?
Answer:I'm pretty sure that nerves don't grow back or regenerate unlike other cells in your body. I'm not a health care professional yet but I think the tingling has to do with sensory receptors that sense touch, temperature, or pain. The skin has regenerated at the operation site but the normal sensory receptors haven't so normal feeling probably isn't there. The info they are sending to your brain isn't the normal info which your brain interprets as tingling.
Sounds like a nerve may have got hurt, nerves take longer to grow back.
