By the headline you posted, it sounds as though this happens often .... and on some computers, they have software that reminds you after a certain amount of time has passed to take an "ergonomic" break -- just to lift your attention up from your work, to look into the distance, to look to left and right, straight up and down just to relax your eyes, and to shake your hands the way you would if you were shaking water off them ....... and those are helpful .....
so maybe you would want to try those ...

your eyes are probably drying out. When people use the computer they blink less and dries them out.
you should have them checked sounds like you need glasses, but then again it could be that you did not get enough rest
You need to try eye drops don't use takes the red out that won't help. what is happening is your eyes are focused on the screen so you don't blink as much. You can try sitting further away from your screen or, try not working on your computer for a day see if that helps.
