First realize what dust is mainly made of....human skin. Dead human skin that people lose daily. That's why you see it more indoors than outside. A house is a condensed area thus you see more dust.
It doesn't stay as still in the world.
Why can't you see it outdoors? I see it.
I can see dust outdoors but it has to be sunny. If you look through the ray of sun the dust is clearly visible just as it would be indoors. Dust is not as easy to see outdoors though because even a gentle breeze keeps it in motion.
