Why am I so hungry
I am 14 and I had eaten 2 servings of speghetti, 2 pieces of pie, a banana, 2 pieces of bread, 2 glasses of water, a little bit of hot saugage, and some ice cream. I still am hungry. Could I be growing? I have a fast metabolism, but I never eat that much all at once and normally I eat many small meals.
Thank you to everyone!
Answer:constant hunger is one of the signs of diabetes. someone who is always hungry and eats but doesn't gain or even loses weight could be diabetic. other symptoms are excessively thirsty and excessive urination. if you have all of these symptoms, you should ask your doctor to run a hemoglobin A1C test on you.
It's possible you're growing and your body needs more, but you should wait and check your hunger in 20 minutes. This is because from the time you take that first bite , it takes your body 20-30 minutes to send "full" signals to your brain. So, wait a while and see if you're still really hungry before eating, because if you eat more now chances are you'll be bursting in a half hour.
because you havn't eaten in a long time
ya its because you are growing/ going thru a growth spurt
I'm fifteen and I'm like that, too.
Although I've grown a lot already (people dont believe that I am fifteen), and I'm sorta fat, too, but it's just that I'm always tired....
Don't worry if you have fast metabolism. Try to shift your hunger towards fruits and veggies rather than towards meat or more meal-type things like spaghetti.
But your post made me hungrier, especially for spaghetti. Hahah =D
