Who has had a really bad sprained wrist and how long does it take to heal
i got a really bad sprained wrist and i have to wear this really ugly stupid cast and the doctor said if i dont wear it than my growth plate will get a screwed up and my hand will grow all weird i have to have it on for 2 weeks and ive had it on for 1 week i have cheated ALOT like half the days i would wear them and about 2 days i never wore them and the rest including this week i have worn the dumb cast when the doctor checks on my wrist again "tommorow monday" and if he thinks i wore it all the time exept for showering ans changing and he is lazy and doesnt take another x_ray and says i can take it off do i keep on wearing it in place of the time that it was off "about 4 more days" or just take and leave it off im thinking should i be safe or sorry

ok, girl stop taking ur cast off! ur doctor is right. unless u want a deformed hand, keep the cast on (unless if u shower in that case put plastic over it or take it off for that time)
the cast will "reshape" ur hand like the way it was. plus, its safer justin case u hurt ur wrist again, it could be more painful and waay worse if u take ur cast off.
keep it on.
if you don't let your wrist heal probably, then you will face a series of 'really ugly stupid' casts, because it will damage more easily the next time. I know this. I have broken my wrists seven. times.
so just wear the damn thing. be safe, not really, really sorry. also, if you use the leaves of a plant call comfrey and make a compress or poultice and keep it around your injury, the allatoin in it will encourage you wrist to heal much more quickly. you can probably even get this at health food stores - google it for further instructions. plus, your friends at the mall or the salon or whatever will think you're very new-age.
