Different drug companies often put a different name on medication in hopes of selling more of their own product. Both medications are exactly the same. Ibuprofen is a generic name for the same thing. Motrin is a trade name. The only difference in the medication may be the actual dosage strength. A good example of this is acetaminophen & tylenol. There are both exactly the same medication.
