When I open my mouth to eat, cheekbone cracks and its really annoying
Happened last few weeks, now it's cracking everytime I open it. Any reasons?..also is being thin good or not good?
Answer:Cheekbone thing is a joint problem with your jaw.. search on Google for 'jaw pain and cracking' or something like that and you'll find it (it does have a name but I can't remember it!!). You can find stretching exercises for your jaw on the Net that are awesomer and if you do them for ten mins a day it will help a lot (I had that cracking for years and the exercises stopped it in a few days)
TMJ thats the name!!! :)
sounds like Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Syndrome
You should see your dentist. You probably grind your teeth in your sleep. It's common and can lead to tooth damage and TMJ. If that is the problem your dentist can create a mouth guard that you can use when you sleep to prevent the problem. Good luck!
It's called TMJ.
The TMJ:
"TMJ" stands for TemporoMandibular Joint, or the jaw joint. You have two TMJs, one in front of each ear, connecting the lower jaw bone (the mandible) to the skull. The joints allow movement up and down, side to side, and forward and back鈥攁ll the mobility necessary for biting, chewing and swallowing food, for speaking and for making facial expressions.
TMJ Diseases/Disorders:
Temporomandibular joint diseases and disorders, commonly called TMJ, are a collection of poorly understood conditions characterized by pain in the jaw and surrounding tissues and limitations in jaw movements. Injury and conditions that routinely affect other joints in the body, such as Arthritis, also affect the temporomandibular joint.
