Whats the title of the people that bring bodies to the morgue at hospitals

health advisory Hospital Health care 2007-11-14 16:20:50
Answer:

usually Mortuary Assistant. my ex-husband did that for a while. awful job. no training required

the coroner
That is up to the person who determines job description and title. The hospital where I worked as a nurse uses a transporter to do that duty. This is not an area where an exact skill is needed. Usually nursing staff is responsible for seeing that the deceased is placed on the appropriate cart and then non licensed personnel will take to the morgue for funeral home pick up or for the coroner to exam what ever the case maybe.
Coroner or Medical Examiner; they are both different ,but I'm not sure which does what..you got me on this one!
Porter
under taker usually removes body from scene of death.

Mortition prepares body for burial / investigation / autopsy.

The Coroner,
