What the best medicine for a migraine headache

health advisory Hospital Health care 2007-11-14 16:21:01

what kind of pain meds

Answer:

For me Vicodin or Percocet is the best, but doctors are so stingy with it! So any of the "triptan" meds work well too, such as: Imitrex, Axert, Maxalt, Frova, Relpax, etc. These are all prescription meds and none of them have caffeine. I haven't found any OTC meds that help me at all and they tend to cause rebound headaches, especially Excedrin because of the caffeine. To me, if OTC meds relieve your 'migraine' then it's probably not a migraine to begin with!

Furenal, its a perscription. Its the strongest out there.
Excedrin is the only thing I've ever found that works for me.
Sleep! Nothing has ever worked for me including prescriptions and even home remedies and accupuncture, except for sleep.
just like the other girl said exederin u know why?

because it has caffeine in it and if u look at ALL migraine meds prescript. or OTC they ALL have caffeine

u can truly TRUST exederin

ask docter

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck.

Headaches can be caused by minor problems

like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more serious reasons

like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and

meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can

have harmful side effects, so it is better to

modify your lifestyle. More information available at
