What if a scab on a burn is green
The burn is from steam. I did it when I was cooking. Then it had busted open. I've been wearing a bandaid for a few hours a day. Then taking it off and letting it air out. Then bandage it up before i go to sleep. Any information would be nice thanks
Answer:Your wound is infected.
Keep it clean - wash it with a mild soap, pat dry with a clean and soft cloth, rinse affected area with Hydrogen Peroxide and allow it to dry completely, apply anti-biotic cream or ointment to affected area.
I also need to tell you that you should see your primary care physician or go to the hospital or medical clinic. If the infection is severe, it could spread, or even cause necrosis (death of skin, tissue, muscle). See your doctor - you may need oral or IV antibiotic treatment.
Best of Luck and I hope this information helps!
keep the burn clean and dry. visit your local ER or urgent care.
it is moss growing from your scab
probably infected
Please get to the doctor & get on some antibiotics, dear!
You have an infection.
If the doctor is too expensive, then please soak a wash cloth in rubbing alcohol & lay it on the area for about 10 or 15 minutes 3x perday.Wear a loose gauze bandage, just to keep dirt off & keep from bumping it.
burn is caused by heat which results to destruction of your skin. it is important to know what degree is your burn, or how deep was the destruction..it may only be just the epidermis, or the inner layer of your integument which is the dermis..but i guess in your case, your dermis was destructed also.. always remember that it is not good to always cover your burn because it may just trap the heat into your skin..as far as possible, try to just let it dry and avoid open-wound contamination to prevent infection..microorganism may live in your burn so always keep it clean, and dry to prevent molds..bandages may block the air that is necessary for drying our wound..do not use soap in cleaning your burn, it will destroy the tissues..if it crust, don't try to get them, let it heal naturally to avoid scarring.. :-)
it is infected...you need to go to the doctor.
