What do you do about a coma

health advisory Hospital Health care 2007-11-14 16:20:08

Me and my friend Michael are worried about his sister cause she's in a coma after being hit by a car. I cry almost every night thinking that she might not make it. I've prayed about it and everything and the only thing that's happening is that its getting worse. The doctor told me yesterday that her brething's gotten worse and he don't know how much longer she'll live. Please...some advice! Any!

Answer:

First, I am so sorry about what your going through. Second coma's are your body's way of dealing with the trauma of the event..somtimes people recover sometimes they dont. If you want a way to gauge her recovery you could ask the doctor what her Glascow coma scale is. 15 is the highest number meaning they are fully awake, 3 is the worst and not promising. I would ask what her previuos scores were and that could give you a way of charting her progress or decline. I am so sorry again and I hope she recovers from this. Good Luck and God bless!

Calm eachother down and keep praying and wait patiently.
im so sorry to hear that, but when a person in coma we could not do anything to help her, nothing at all, just to pray i believe, and wait for her recovery i hope so.
Death is not always easy. Judging by your description, I would prepare for the end.
Sorry ,remember that people in coma's are in a peaceful state. They can hear when you talk to them,so keep talking to her. Tell her that you are praying for her and that all her family and friends are thinking and praying for her. There is always a chance that she will recover. I will pray for her too.
