WHY DO i have pain in my knee cap
It's called "chondromalacia patella".
It's pretty common among athletes.
It could be caused by overuse (sports), or misalignment of your feet/hips, or being overweight.
Your knee cap (patella) is rubbing against one side of your cartilage. This is what causes the pain.
There are things you can do to help. See an orthopedic or sports injury doctor.
They will likely prescribe orthotics for your shoes.
In the mean time... get a bag of frozen peas!

You have to drain the fluid from it.
maybe cus u fell?
could be a few things, go to webmd and see what they have to say. My knee pops and cracks and I get pains too. Doc says to lose weight and do some exercises to strengthen the muscles in the legs
you could have banged against something
and it is bruised or cracked or you could
have loose calcium under the cap
get an x-ray to be sure
id need more info as far as i know you have a large knife wticking out of it and of thats the case go to a doctor to get it removed.
Well, you don't give us a lot of details. . . .so it could be darn near anything!
If if is getting in the way of doing the things you like to do (or have to do LOL) you need to have it looked at, hopefully by a physical therapist.
Good luck.
