It's hard to say how we get it, I have had a different allergy every some many years. They come and go and for no apparent reason. I use an over the counter allergy medicine, Alervert, which works for me and last 24 hours.

Also a doctor could recommend a prescription medication for you particular allergy.

its an allergic reaction topollen in the air. a little clue is in its name where the grass pollen in the air brings on a fever like symptoms of a runny nose, streaming eyes, difficulty in breathing and other fever like responsed. it isnt just grass pollen thats the culprit, pollen from trees, flowers and generally anything that produces seeds can trigger a hay fever attack.

for treatment there are variouse anit-histamines available both over the counter at your local chemist or via gp prescription which can aleviate the symptoms. there is also the old wives tale of eating locally produces honey which can help. interestingly enough i was speaking to a woman who was miraculusly cured by the birth of her 1st child. so if your pharmacist/gp cant help and old wives tales dont help least you can have the fun of trying to get pregnant cannt you?

You can develop hayfever at any age and despite it's name you can be allergic to other things than hay.

Hayfever, also known as seasonal allergic rhinitis, is an allergic reaction to airborne substances such as pollen that get into the upper respiratory passages - the nose, sinus, throat - and also the eyes.
