Answer:i'd say a stand up bed... because it effects your entire body that way. usually a regular tanning bed (where you're laying down...) misses your sides. :) have fun
well technically neither since they are so bad for you. but it depends on how much time you have. lay down take a bit longer but sometimes i use them to grab a quick power nap. don't know what it is, but i fall asleep quick.

Neither, tanning WILL cause skin cancer. Try a spray on tan instead.

none of them are good, but I think stand up is safer because people tend to get out when they have had too much heat, as opposed to the beds, where you are in a resting position and its easy to lie there and burn.
The best choice for you might be a spray tan, or even a combination of spray tan and a couple minutes in a tanning booth each week if you want to be darker.
Whatever you do, don't expect to get it done in one shot, especially if you are prone to migranes. I suggest short sessions (4-6 minutes) and you may want to put something on your head (towel, hat) to keep it from getting burned.
