What is a low price dry skin moisturizer for 40plus age women
For my face I use cetaphil face cleanser plus their cream
both are around ten $$'s but they last a long time. They are made specially for people with dry sensitive, skin.
My dermatologist recommended them to me. They work great.
I found that my skin was not as dry when I exfoliated my skin even on my face. If you take off the dead dry surface skin the healthy skin is exposed.
At wal-mart or a drug store they have these great gloves that are a bit ruff but they are gentle on your face just do not go too hard. Use them and you will see softer skin right away and those fine lines they will diminish.
For your body first you need to exfoliate (get rid of the dead skin) Again use those ruff gloves or mitts I use a different ones for my face and body. Just use your favorite soap or cleancer. They only cost a couple of $$'s
Now in the shower once you are done using the gloves. Stand in the steam and cover your skin with oil. Let the oil set for at least five min's. Rince well using only water, get as much off as you can. You will find that you will have the softest skin even in the middle of winter.
You can use either veggie oil / olive oil/ canola oil/ or if you do not have nut allergies you can use peanut oil/ or for a treat almound oil/ any kitchen oil will do but the ones I have mentioned are the best ones for your skin.
Or if you prefer you can use mineral oil.
When your skin is wet and warm it will take in moister better. A friend of my has very dry skin and in the winter she will put a thin layer of mineral oil on her skin after the shower.
