Answer:For fungal infections to grow they need a warm, moist, dark place to grow.
There are different ways to treat this.
One you can use Lamicil (spelled wrong) but it sounds like it
they say that it only takes one week to treat and will prevent it from comeing back for three months
The old way of treating it and this is what my husband did and his feet were so bad that they had pock marks in them and they bleed all the time.
Ware white wool socks and sandels (not the bleached kind) you want the ones that are not died or treated the highest amount of wool you can get even if you have to hire someone to knit them by hand
this lets the air at them as wool can breath
Go bare foot as much as possible
If you have to ware closed in shoes here is some basic foot care that will help
wash your feet twice daily and use a wash cloth with a good soap ivory is good or dove and even go between toes. Rince well. Dry your feet well and between toes. If you have athletes feet now do not use the wash cloth or towel on any other part of your body, because the fungal infection can spred to other parts of your body. Any place that is warm, moist and dark. (Arm pits/ groin areas are the most likely places)
Once your feet are dry use a good foot powder some people use the ones for athletes feet all the time but if you do you run the risk of them not being effective the next time you need them. Gold bond foot powder is a good one or you could use plain corn starch.(the same stuff that many people use to thicken gravy) It has not sent.
When you have the infection try to get sunlight on them and between your toes they have sponges for giving pedicures that keep the toes appart use them but let the air and light reach the bottom of the crevice of the toes.
If you work at an office all day ware white wool socks and when you are sitting at your desk kick off your shoes when ever plosable
