that depends on what your fingers were in before you put them in your mouth. if you could put your nails under a microscope i bet you wouldn't bite them anymore.
when you bite your nails they get shorter-it is a sign your health is already affected-it is a sign of nerves-there is a cure if you ask me-in the mean time your dealing with close cut nails and the germs both from your mouth to wet germs on your finger tips and culture more germs to get to your mouth.
